Edinburgh

This past weekend was my trip to Edinburgh, Scotland. First we took the 4 1/2 hour train ride from Kings Cross Station to Edinburgh, on Friday morning at 7:30 am. The bus ride was long, but luckily I was there with several entertaining friends.

Emma, Ryan, Becca, and Charlie. Great picture everyone...

We arrived in Scotland and immediately took an hour bus tour around Edinburgh with our tour guide Andrew. We took us down Royal street in the old part of town.

The "spitting heart", apparently it's considered good luck to spit on the heart. Yes, I did spit on it :)

Out for dinner Friday night. Had a traditional steak pie...it was DELICIOUS! Way better than food from London.

Drinks after dinner. Tour guide took us to an old, traditional Scottish pub.

On Saturday we meet up again with our tour guide and we took a bus tour ALL around Scotland, mainly the Highlands area. It went from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm with a few hour breaks in the middle...it was a lot of bus riding and a long day! But pretty :)

In my rightful place...in front of a castle.

Sunday ended with free time for us to explore the city. By the end of the third day I was ready to head back home to London. Oh, and another 4.5 hour train ride. Blah. I missed London, but the drivers were nicer in Scotland and the scenery much prettier! Paris next weekend, so more pictures to come I'm sure.
